The United Kingdom Spine Societies Board (UKSSB) is an organisation composed of National Spinal Societies:
• British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS)
• Society for Back Pain Research (SBPR)
• British Scoliosis Society (BSS)
• British Association of Spinal Cord Injury Specialists (BASICS)
• National Spine Network (NSN)

The Board includes representatives of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS), along with co-opted members.

The object of UKSSB is to promote the development of treatment of spinal disorders through education, study and research for the benefit of the public and the United Kingdom.

To pursue these objectives, but not by way of limitation, the UKSSB will have the following powers:
• To foster and encourage instruction, training, and research in spinal disorders.
• To hold a scientific and educational meeting entitled “BritSpine” every 2 years.
• To maintain an accurate mailing list of the total members of the SBPR, BSS, BASS, and BASCIS.
• To maintain a mailing list of individuals with an interest in spinal disorders.
• To maintain a mailing list of national and international professional organizations with an interest in spinal disorders.
• To maintain a mailing list of industrial organizations with an interest in the spine.
• To promote and facilitate the dissemination of information on spinal disorders, including meetings, courses, research, and publications.
• To encourage co-operation between national organizations with interests in spinal disorders.
• To promote international collaboration in the field of spinal disorders.
