Turkish Emergency Medicine Association / Turkiye Acil Tip Dernegi (TATD)

After the importance of Emergency Medicine services was realized in the late 1980s, a series of meetings were held at the Ministry of Health in the early 1990s. As a result of these meetings, "Emergency Medicine Specialization" was published in the Official Gazette dated 30 April 1993 and was added to the Medical Specialty Regulation under the name "First and Emergency Aid" at that time.

Mission:
TATD mission is to produce projects and support the development of the Emergency Medicine System in Turkey - emergency medicine expertise, emergency services, pre-hospital emergency aid, first aid, disaster organization.

Vision:
TATD vision is to be a leading and exemplary institution in the world by ensuring the development of the Emergency Medicine System all over Turkey.
