The Society of Women Innovators in Pain Medicine (WIPM)

WIPM was founded in 2019 by a small group of female physicians who recognized the under representation of women in the field of pain management. The goal of this organization is to be a stand alone entity who can act as the collective voice for women in pain management


Mission:
WIPM encourage and empower current and future women pain leaders to realize their professional and personal goals. They do this through a commitment to mentoring, supporting, educating, training and developing future influencers within Their field. Goals:
• To promote women in the field of pain management through professional growth and development.
• To offer support and collaboration for research initiatives in order to develop a strong scientific foundation in the field of pain management.
• To enhance communication between female pain physicians, scientists, engineers and practitioners.
• To support diversity of thought in the management of pain conditions.
• To continue to improve the quality of care provided to patients and to establish the highest standards in regards to treating pain patients.
