Mission and Vision:
The corporation of the Quebec Society of Nephrology is constituted for the following purposes:

• Promote continuing medical education among Quebec nephrologists through conferences, symposia, grants and other appropriate means;
• Promote research in nephrology in Quebec by subsidizing it and by facilitating exchanges between local researchers as well as by inviting foreign professors to spend some time in their laboratories;
• Facilitate medical education and access to research for nephrologists in training as well as for all other individuals interested in nephrology;
• Receive donations, legacies and other contributions of the same nature in cash, securities or real estate, administer such donations, legacies, contributions for the purpose of assisting lecturers and/or researchers; organize fundraising campaigns to raise funds for charitable purposes and solicit donations to the corporation;
• The objects mentioned above do not, however, allow the corporation to offer to the public subscription plans by single or periodic payments allowing subscribers or contributors, or their assigns, to be reimbursed or to benefit, in any form whatsoever, of the money which they have paid to the corporation, except the remuneration which may be paid from time to time to certain persons as officers, administrators or lecturers;
• The income of the corporation must be used for charitable purposes only, in particular, but without restriction or limitation, to provide lecturers and/or researchers with honorariums or scholarships or any financial assistance deemed necessary by the corporation. The sums paid will be paid out of the interest on the sums collected or out of the income of the corporation. The corporation may, however, use its resources other than income and interest for the above purposes, if authorized to do so by more than fifty (50%) of the members assembled at a special general meeting convened for this purpose and voting on such authorization.
