Hong Kong Radiographers’ Association (HKRA) was formed when two professional bodies of radiographers merged in 1990, namely the Association of Government Radiographers (AGR), founded in 1974, and the Hong Kong Diagnostic Radiographers Association (HKDRA), founded in 1980s from graduates of the Hong Kong Polytechnic Institute.
Mission:
To promote professional development and assure the well-being of diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers in Hong Kong to better serve the public.
Objectives of HKRA:
• To embrace, represent and develop cohesiveness among radiographers and radiation therapists from different practicing sectors.
• To liaise and collaborate with other healthcare professional bodies and regulatory organizations.
• To improve standards of professional practice in medical imaging and radiation therapy.
• To provide arenas of knowledge update and exchange and meeting grounds for welfare activities.
