The German Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (DGTHG), headquartered in Berlin, is a non-profit, scientific, medical society. Their goal is to promote the science and advancement of therapies in the field of thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery. To this end, They see the implementation of further education and training programs, preparation of medical guidelines, promotion of junior staff and the organization of medical conferences as their main tasks. Nationwide, They represent around 1,000 thoracic, cardiovascular and cardiovascular surgeons whose interests They represent. In particular, dialogue with the public, politics and business as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with other medical societies is important to us.
