The Arizona Clinical Oncology Society (TACOS)

Who they Are:
The Arizona Clinical Oncology Society (TACOS) is a powerful community of oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other allied health professionals who provide a voice for multidisciplinary cancer care teams and the patients they serve.

Founded in 1991, TACOS is the largest oncology professional organization in the state. Members rely on us to provide innovative resources to help them stay ahead of the shifting healthcare landscape and challenges that directly impact the high-quality care their patients deserve—both locally and on a national level.

To carry out their mission, they strive to:
• Improve the quality of oncology care available to the people of the state of Arizona;
• Maintain and advance the standards of cancer care;
• Support oncology education;
• Facilitate the development and use of new cancer management techniques in the community;
• Provide effective representation of the oncology field for its members and the public;
• Foster effective communication that enhances access to scientific, socioeconomic, research, and other relevant data; and
• Promote collegial relationships among oncologists in the state of Arizona.
