Tennessee Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND)

The Tennessee Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.

TAND is comprised of more than 1,300 highly skilled, multi-talented professionals and students in Tennessee that are committed to improving the health of Tennesseans and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education, and advocacy.

The majority of thier members are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) who have completed academic coursework, hold advanced practice certifications, obtained graduate or doctoral degrees and are credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). RDNs are licensed by the State of Tennessee to provide expert food and nutrition advice, information, and consultative care.
