The Swiss Association for the Study of the Liver (SASL) is a working group of the Swiss Society for Gastroenterology, which brings together researchers and doctors interested in liver biology and liver diseases.
The tasks and goals of the SASL are:
• The promotion of research in the field of pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of liver and biliary tract diseases.
• The dissemination of knowledge about liver diseases among doctors, researchers and the public.
• The promotion of the recognition of hepatology as a clinical discipline, and the promotion of further and advanced training of doctors in the field of hepatology.
• Maintaining relationships with other specialist societies and interest groups that are committed to the prevention and healing of liver diseases.
