Swedish Orthopaedic Association / Svensk Ortopedisk Forening (SOF)

Swedish Orthopedic Society (SOF) was originally founded in 1944 as the Swedish Orthopedic Association.

SOF's overall goal is to be a union for doctors with an interest in orthopedics. The association is included as the section for orthopedics in the Swedish Medical Association (SLS), the specialist association for orthopedics within the Swedish Medical Association (SLF). As a member of the SOF, you are automatically also a member of the European Federation of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EFORT) and the Nordic Orthopedic Federation (NOF), where NOF owns and publishes the scientific journal Acta Orthopedic.

SOF is also a member association in Orthopaedic Section in the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) och European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT).
