Mission:
The Foundation aims to:
• To provide patients with congenital (congenital) Cytomegalovirus (hereinafter: CMV) infection, the parents of the patients and the professionals involved (scientific and non-scientific) with good information and support.
• Striving for improved quality of information about CMV through professionalization and cooperation, nationally and internationally.
• Receiving financial gifts (donations, bequests, grants and the like) to be able to carry out the goals.
• The practical translation of achieving the goals is:
○ Creating and maintaining a website, as a central information point for fellow sufferers and professionals, and where interested parties can place their donations and gifts;
○ Participate in various consultation structures and meetings (patient organizations, umbrella organizations, government, medical and care specialists, conferences, and the other existing CMV organizations worldwide);
○ Get in touch with the government to promote the production of brochures about CMV, or other means of communication. These brochures and information aids must be placed at GP offices, midwifery practices and hospitals for parents (including prospective) and professionals;
○ With sufficient cash resources, initiate scientific research aimed at CMV.
