State Cancer Institute (SCI) Guwahati

The State Cancer Institute (SCI), Guwahati was inaugurated on 17th February 2017 by the then Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda, in the august presence of the then Chief Minister of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and then Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. It was established to address the growing burden of cancer in the region, which earlier compelled patients to seek treatment in metro cities outside Assam.
