The Society was founded on June 12, 1981 in a dependency of the Hospital de Bellvitge (Barcelona).
The primary objective of the Spanish Knee Society (SEROD) is to join forces, coordinate programs, promote and establish research projects and help and promote the exchange of ideas among all those professionals interested in the study of the knee, as well as the relationship with other organizations with similar or complementary objectives.
