Spanish Society of Health and Integrative Medicine / Sociedad Espanola de Salud y Medicina Integrativa (SESMI)

The Spanish Society of Health and Integrative Medicine (SESMI) is created by a group of professionals from various health areas with the aim of promoting and disseminating the concept that integrative medicine represents within Spanish society, organizing and protecting professionals who work rigorously and improve the health of the population.

• It is an organizational tool for professionals who come together from their original official area (physicians, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses, nutritionists, etc.) within the scientific society-because integrative health and medicine are carried out in teams or networks and based on group work-and who choose specialized areas of interest.
• SESMI will act as a guarantor of the quality and rigor of integrative medicine work, defending qualified professionals and protecting patients.
• It will support quality training programs and promote general information to society, as well as research studies, disseminating them using its own methods or those established by the scientific community.
• It will promote international agreements with other organizations working in support of global health and integrative health.
• She will run for office to defend the work of professionals in this medical model and will seek to establish fruitful relationships with official institutions for the benefit of the population's health.
