The Society of Toxicology of Canada, formerly the Canadian Association for Research in Toxicology, was founded in 1964. Currently, their membership, broadly representing industry, government and academic institutions, is comprised of individuals whose interests range from fundamental and basic to clinical and applied toxicology, and whose academic qualifications include M.Sc., Ph.D., D.V.M. and M.D. degrees. The STC cover a variety of applications for toxicology including regulatory toxicology, Pharmtox, development of chemicals and ecotox.

Mission:
The Society of Toxicology of Canada is a community of toxicologists from all over Canada committed to advancing the understanding of toxicology. Their mission is to promote interaction and collaboration of professional toxicologists in Canada, to be a significant resource of expertise and knowledge, and to actively participate in the evolution of the discipline of toxicology in the world.
