Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD)

SCARD Purpose:
Founded in 1966, SCARD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of the art and science of radiology by the promotion of medical education, research and patient care, the development of methods of undergraduate and graduate teaching in radiology and the provision of a forum for discussion of problems and mutual interest among radiology department chairpersons.

Mission:
To provide a supportive and inclusive forum for the exchange of information relevant to academic radiology departments To inform and guide decision-making in national radiology organizations regarding clinical practice, education, and research To impact the advancement of Radiology by foreseeing and addressing challenges to our specialty

Vision:
To be the recognized thought leaders and exemplars for US radiology departments
