The Society for Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine serves to promote neonatology and pediatric intensive care medicine in science and practice.

The Society for Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine promotes neonatology and pediatric intensive care medicine in research and practice. Its primary tasks are:
• In deepening the cooperation between scientific societies and associations dealing with issues of neonatology and paediatric intensive care,
• In representing the common interests of neonatology and paediatric intensive care medicine to authorities, medical professional associations and third parties,
• In communication with scientific associations abroad that deal with neonatology and pediatric intensive care medicine in science and practice,
• Representing the interests of neonatology and paediatric intensive care medicine at international level and
• In promoting continuing education and training in the fields of neonatology and pediatric intensive care medicine.
