The issue of digestive oncology is complex and requires a multidisciplinary approach, which in practice cannot be implemented only through more or less haphazard cooperation of individual professional societies on a specific task. It is a continuous process, on which working teams must cooperate from the beginning, which must be ready, able and willing to reflect on the new knowledge that world science brings and to include it in a very practical context with regard to local conditions. That is why the Society for Gastrointestinal Oncology CLS JEP (SGO) brings together experts from key specialties - gastroenterology, oncology, oncosurgery, radiology, pathology, practical medicine.
