Society for Gastroenterology in Bavaria eV / Gesellschaft fur Gastroenterologie in Bayern e.V (GFGB)

The Bavarian Gastroenterologists Association is an association of approximately 350 specialists from hospitals and private practices who meet annually for a professional conference. They are organized by an executive board, an advisory board, and several committees that determine the quality of submitted papers.

The Society for Gastroenterology in Bavaria eV was founded in 1973 by Ludwig Demling in Munich and sees itself as a representative of doctors in Bavaria who work in the field of gastroenterology in clinics and practices.

With currently 350 members, it is the largest regional society in its field in Germany. Fostering collegial exchange locally is of central importance, particularly through the annual conference held annually at different locations in Bavaria.
