Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society / Slovensko Farmacevtsko Drustvo (SFD)

The association of pharmacists, which began as early as 1945, was given a legal-formal basis for the establishment of an independent association of pharmacists in 1950. In 1961, pharmaceutical technicians also joined the association. From the very beginning, the members within the association are united in branches according to the regional principle and in sections according to professional interest. Today, activities take place in 9 branches and 12 sections.

Since 1975, the Society has been awarding Minařik medals to the most deserving members, and since 1990 Minařik awards. The awards are named after our famous historian of pharmacy prof. Franc Minařik. List of award recipients! The operation of the association is regulated by association acts, the members of the association are bound by the code of pharmaceutical ethics of SFD members.
