The Shanghai Institute of Immunology was established on March 9, 1979 and is the earliest established local immunology society in China. The famous immunologist, Prof. Yu Xiaohe, was the first chairman of the committee. He is currently the eleventh board of directors, and the director is Professor Zhong Renqian.
