This idea was and is successfully put into practice by WIVIM with the Symposium Intensive Medicine + Intensive Care, which took place for the 30th time in 2020. With the symposium, WIVIM is committed to offering a forum for demanding further and advanced training for all professional groups working in intensive care medicine. The team-oriented approach and the interprofessional cooperation between doctors and nurses is always the focus and is indispensable. Trust and reliability, communication and respectful treatment are our premise for the common goal: to treat patients safely and professionally.
