Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology (SBSP)

Welcome to the website of the Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology. They are an active international society that promotes research and education in parasitology. SBSP was founded in 2003 by fusion of Scandinavian Society for Parasitology (est. 1967 in Denmark) and Baltic Society for Parasitology (est. 1993). The eight countries of our region are all represented in the board, and we have active members from all around the world. They organize an international congress (CSBSP) every second year, and hosted a wonderful EMOP XII in 2016. They are a member of WFP and EFP.

Aims of The Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology:
• To encourage research and education in parasitology in the Nordic and the Baltic countries
• to act as a unifying body for parasitologists and persons interested in parasitology and to represent them in the Nordic and the Baltic countries
• to represent Nordic and Baltic parasitologists internationally
• The Society promotes its aims through committee reports and proposals, and by taking initiatives, and issuing statements, as well as by educational work and arranging courses, symposia, joint meetings and discussions.
