The San Francisco Retina Foundation was established in 2007 to advance the treatment of retinal disease. This foundation has its roots in an early charity dating back to 1974. We have three major areas of interest: research, advanced education for clinicians, and patient education.
Each year the Foundation presents conferences and seminars for ophthalmologists, retinal specialists, and optometrists to review the most current methods of retinal diagnosis and therapy. We also produce instructional material, such as textbooks and scientific handout, that are important resources for ophthalmic professionals.
