San Diego Academy of Family Physicians (SDAFP)

The San Diego Academy of Family Physicians strives to bring together and educate Family Medicine physicians as well as allowing a means of communication with their local peers. Our organization provides two or more CME programs during the year as well as fundraisers for a memorial scholarship provided to a UCSD second and fourth year medical student on an annual basis and a bi-annual newsletter. Our yearly 3 day symposium attracts hundreds of physicians from across the country as well as more than 45 exhibitors.

Mission:
The purpose of the San Diego Academy of Family Physicians is to educate and support the local Family Medicine community in order to promote professional and personal growth for its members and to advocate for family centered care for all San Diegans. They strive to bring members together at a local level by providing activities which promote good hospital relations for primary care, quality programs for continuing medical education, and support for students interested in becoming family medicine physicians.
