The Royal Society of Chemistry’s purpose is to advance excellence in the chemical sciences – to improve the lives of people around the world now and in the future. They are the professional body for chemists in the UK, and an internationally renowned publisher of high quality chemical science knowledge. They support and represent more than 50,000 members and an international community.

Mission:
Their mission is to advance excellence in the chemical sciences and this has been the case since 1841 when 77 scientists – including doctors, academics, manufacturers and entrepreneurs – formed the Chemical Society of London, with dialysis inventor Thomas Graham as their first President.
