Romanian Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology Society (SRROM) Founded in 1991, it is a non-profit, apolitical professional association.

The purpose of SRROM is to group professionals involved in the field of radiotherapy and medical oncology and to support collaboration with related specialties, in order to contribute to increasing the quality of medical care.

It encourages the creation of a high professional standard by organizing educational events. Post-university courses and a national congress take place every year, which can also be attended by specialists from related fields (physicists, radiobiologists, radiologists, anatomopathologists, surgeons, psycho-oncologists/psychiatrists, or other medical specialties).

SRROM facilitates cooperation with international oncology organizations, universities, patient groups, pharmaceutical and medical device industry representatives. It also ensures the representation of its members before the bodies involved in the smooth running of their activities (Ministry of Health, Government, Ministry of Education, County Health Directorates).
