The Association of Plastic Surgeons in Romania (ACPR) has developed out of the need for dialogue in and within our specialty. The specialty of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Microsurgery was developed within the Institute, then of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" Bucharest, starting with 1958. Each head of department and clinic in the country has this unique origin, in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" from Bucharest, in the clinic from Str. Arch. Ion Mincu, led by Professor Agrippa Ionescu.
