Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other Interventional Techniques / Asociatia Romana pentru Chirurgie Endoscopica si alte Tehnici Interventionale (ARCE)

The Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other Interventional Techniques (ARCE) was founded in July 2001 due to the initiative of 28 enthusiastic specialists (20 general surgeons, 2 thoracic surgeons, 5 gastroenterologists and a pediatric surgeon). Today the association has hundreds of members, both from the country and from abroad, most of them general surgeons but also surgeons belonging to other medical specialties as well as anesthetists, gastroenterologists, etc. The main goal of the founders was to promote and develop in Romania endoscopic surgery and the minimally invasive interventional techniques associated with it.
