Rios Associates

Since 1983, Rios Associates has offered CME Medical Spanish and Cultural Competency workshops to doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other related positions.

Mission:
To teach medical Spanish to health care providers, in order to better serve the Latino community. The "Latino" population is the fastest growing group in the United States, and Health Care Professionals may wish to be prepared to meet the challenge and the needs of this sector of the population by educating themselves in the language and the culture. Learning Objectives:
• Improve rapport and engagement with Latino patients
• Promote preventive care and expand knowledge of culture bound syndromes
• Learn more about the Latino culture and medical terminology in Spanish
• Steps to secure a successful patient interview
