About Us

Federal State Budgetary Institution “Central Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after N.N. Priorov of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation ”(TSITO) is the largest base of scientific research in the field of diagnostics and treatment in traumatology, orthopedics, bone pathology and rehabilitation, both in adult patients and in children. The institute has 15 scientific and clinical departments, 17 clinical diagnostic laboratories and research departments, 16 operating rooms, two advisory clinics.

On a functional basis, there are 2 centers at CITO: the Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and the Rehabilitation of Children and Adolescents. Since 1998, the head of the institute has been an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, an Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Pavlovich Mironov. S.P. Mironov - President of the Russian Arthroscopic Society, Member of the International Executive Committee of the European Society for Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (ESSKA). He is the author of 181 scientific papers and publications. Under the leadership of Sergei Pavlovich Mironov completed 30 theses.
