Portuguese Society of Metabolic Diseases / Sociedade Portuguesa de Doencas Metabolicas (SPDM)

The Portuguese Society of Metabolic Diseases (SPDM) is a non-profit Scientific Society.

The Society's objective is to implement all actions related to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and social insertion of patients with hereditary metabolic diseases, as well as the promotion of scientific research in this area.

Its mission is to develop activities aimed at scientific research and training of its members, promoting the sharing of scientific knowledge, with the aim of providing better assistance to these patients and their families, thus increasing their quality of life.
