Portuguese Society of Family Therapy / Sociedade Portuguesa de Terapia Familiar (SPTF)

The Portuguese Society of Family Therapy is a non-profit Scientific Association, its scope of action in the area of ​​Family Therapy and Systemic Intervention.

The SPTF aims to study, research and disseminate the conceptual models of Systemic Theory, the realization of training courses and scientific events for professionals and institutions interested in the theoretical and practical aspects related to Systemic and Family Intervention.

It aims to collaborate with Official Services, Foreign Societies or other Entities in the investigation and study of scientific, theoretical and applied issues, related to Systemic Intervention and Family Therapy, the definition of standards of training and professional practice of Systemic Intervention and Therapy Familiar.

To guarantee the scientific standards of the practice of systemic clinical and social intervention through the professional training and accreditation of family therapists and systemic intervenors, as well as the promotion of the exercise of Systemic Intervention and Family Therapy in collaboration with official Services and other Institutions.
