Peruvian Society of Medical Oncology / Sociedad Peruana de Oncologia Medica (SPOM)

They are a non-profit scientific organization aimed at leading, at a national level, the knowledge related to cancer, its research and medical treatment. They are part of the Medical Societies of the Medical College of Peru, as a Principal Society, to which they are legally accredited.

The Peruvian Society of Medical Oncology was founded in 1996 by a group of clinical oncologists who had the common goal of bringing together all those specialists who believed in the unification of criteria and efforts in the management of cancer in Peru.
