The Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians (PACEP) is a state chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), a medical society that has represented physicians specializing in emergency medicine since 1971. PACEP is committed to advancing emergency care through continuing education, research, and public education.​

Mission Statement
The Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians is the voice of emergency medicine in the Commonwealth and the leading advocate for emergency physicians and their patients.

The vision of the Pennsylvania College is to:
Advocate:
• For the primary role of the emergency physician in the delivery of emergency medical care to all Pennsylvanians,
• For the advancement of emergency medicine as an essential service in the health care system, and
• For the promotion of public health in the Commonwealth;

Educate:
• Emergency physicians and trainees in emergency medicine in Pennsylvania through innovative programs that advance the delivery of emergency medical care in the Commonwealth and
• The public of the Commonwealth on the central role of emergency physicians in the delivery of emergency care;

Lead:
• In the advancement of medical education and scholarship in emergency medicine in the Commonwealth,
• In the professional development and wellness of emergency physicians, and
• In the state EMS system through emergency physician expertise.
