The PelviCare project was born from a collaboration between Professor Eric RULLIER and Dr. Quentin DENOST, colorectal surgeons at the Magellan Medical and Surgical Center of the University Hospital of Bordeaux / University of Bordeaux and the Bordeaux University Foundation with the support of Medtronic , STERIS and Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices.
The main vocation of PelviCare is to be an accelerator of innovation by stimulating the sharing of multi and transdisciplinary knowledge between experts in order to offer patients the best care and techniques possible in the following pathologies:
• Colon Cancer
• Rectal cancer
• Inflammatory bowel diseases
• Functional digestive disorders
• Pelvic statics
• anal incontinence
• endometriosis
PelviCare's ambition is to share its expertise nationally and internationally through access to training, new surgical techniques, therapeutic innovations and the development of clinical research.
Missions:
To make available the latest innovations in colorectal surgery by developing training and by fostering cooperation between experts.
Strengthen research activities aiming at improving patient management and quality of life (minimally invasive surgery, neuro-mapping, 3D printing, etc.)
Promote the attractiveness of Bordeaux 's medical hub and develop European and international collaboration in training and research on colorectal diseases.
To increase the international visibility of the results obtained through the publications and the participation in congresses.
