NSGP is a non-profit interdisciplinary professional organization for therapists interestered in group therapy and group dynamics.

Group psychotherapy is a special form of therapy in which a small number of people meet together under the guidance of a professionally trained therapist to help themselves and one another.

Mission
Welcome to the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. NSGP is a non-profit interdisciplinary professional organization for clinicians interested in group therapy and group dynamics. Founded in 1956 our mission is:
• To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas about group psychotherapy.
• To encourage the development of sound training in group psychotherapy.
• To establish and maintain high standards of ethical and professional practice.
• To disseminate information to interested professionals and the public about group psychotherapy.
