Raleigh, North Carolina, United States of America

The North Carolina Pediatric Society (NCPeds) is the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). They are a leading authority, advocate and voice for the health of their state’s children and for the profession of pediatrics. They represent over 2,000 pediatric health care providers in North Carolina.

Mission:
To improve the health of all North Carolina children and support the pediatric professionals who care for them.

They exist to advance and distinguish the role of pediatric medicine as a healthcare destination and support the ongoing success of their membership through education, advocacy, community awareness, benchmarking and promoting standards of excellence.

Vision:
Each and every North Carolina child grows up healthy and thrives:
Core Values:
Equity: NCPeds believe they must actively change unjust policies, practices and norms that can prevent some children from receiving fair treatment and accessing the resources and opportunities they need to grow up healthy and thrive. Collaboration: NCPeds believe that they are more effective at achieving their goals when they work together with humility, honesty, and a shared commitment to put children first. Integrity: NCPeds believe in leading with honesty, respect, and a steadfast focus on centering the health and well-being of children in their decision-making and actions. Respect: NCPeds strive to understand and honor the perspectives and experiences of others, especially when they are different from their own.
