New York State Society for Respiratory Care (NYSSRC), Inc.

Purpose:
• Encourage and develop educational programs for those interested in the field of respiratory care.

• Advance the science, technology, ethics and art of respiratory care through institutes, meetings, lectures, and the preparation and distribution of a newsletter and other materials.

• Facilitate cooperation between respiratory care personnel and the medical professions, hospitals, service companies, industry, governmental organizations and other agencies interested in respiratory care.

• Provide education to the general public in pulmonary health promotion and disease prevention.

Mission:
The NYSSRC, an affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care, is the professional association of respiratory therapists, representing respiratory care in New York State. The NYSSRC promotes excellence in patient care, encourages professionalism, and advocates for patients, their families, the public, the profession and the respiratory therapist.
