National Institute Of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)

The NINDS has recently completed a strategic planning process that combined an aspirational vision for the future with practical strategies for more effectively pursuing the NINDS mission to reduce the burden of neurological disorders. Over the next five to ten years, the new NINDS strategic plan will serve as a guide to help the Institute meet its challenges to:

achieve an optimal balance across basic, clinical, translational, and disease-related research in neuroscience
seize immediate opportunities while also nurturing long-term progress
encourage research in targeted areas while also allowing for unexpected discoveries
