The National Board for Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists, Inc. (NBCOT) is a not-for-profit credentialing agency that has provided certification for the Orthopaedic Technology profession since 1982.
NBCOT serves the general public by developing, administering, and continually reviewing a certification process that reflects current standards of competent practice in Orthopaedic Technology.
Mission:
The mission of the NBCOT shall be that of establishing the criteria for certification in Orthopaedic Technologies. The NBCOT will assure the validity of the certifying process as well as methods of maintaining minimal levels of competency through continuing education.
The NBCOT is established to ensure that the process of certification and continuing education will provide to the general population and the medical community qualified and competent clinicians who are Certified Orthopaedic Technologists.
