The Missouri Society for Respiratory Care will be the national model among the State Professional Societies for Respiratory Care. The MSRC will encourage and promote professional excellence, advance the science and practice of respiratory care, and serve as an advocate for patients, their families, the public, the profession, and the respiratory therapist.
Purpose:
• Encourage, develop and provide on a regional basis, educational programs for those person interested in respiratory therapy and diagnostics, hereinafter referred to as Respiratory Care.
• Use all methods and procedures appropriate to advance the science, technology, ethics and art of respiratory care.
• Facilitate cooperation and understanding among respiratory care personnel and the medical profession, allied health professionals, hospitals, service companies, industry, government organizations, and other agencies interested in respiratory care.
• Raise public awareness of respiratory care, the MSRC, and pulmonary health promotion and disease prevention.
