Mexican Society of Obesity are the largest and most leading Scientific Society on Obesity in Mexico and Latin America, promoting the prevention and treatment of this disease and its comorbidities to improve the quality of life of their patients. The SMO is a non-profit civil association in Mexico, affiliated with the WOF and FECCOM.
Mexican Society of Obesity main objective is to serve as a forum for continuing medical education of the highest academic level in the field of obesity and its comorbidities, to exchange and generate information based on rigorous scientific criteria, and to promote professional development in order to benefit society through ethical professional practice.
