The Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists is a statewide organization representing oncologists and physicians who provide care for cancer patients. Founded in 1985, the Society is dedicated to improving cancer care and treatment and is recognized by the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology as the voice for cancer physicians and their patients in the state.

The purposes of the Society are to foster the dissemination of information concerning the diagnosis, care and treatment of cancer to practicing physicians and to the general public; to encourage and make available continuing education specifically addressing the needs of practicing community oncologists; to encourage the improvement of community facilities relating to the care and treatment of cancer patients in hospitals and other health facilities; to generally participate in any activity relating to the medical care and treatment of cancer patients.
