Mission:
MOU are a unique and largest oncology center in the Czech Republic , where highly specialized medical services, excellent research and education in the field of prevention, diagnostics and treatment of solid tumors are concentrated in one place . Multidisciplinary cooperation, respect for rights and a partnership approach to patients and their loved ones are their characteristics that contribute to the success of the Masaryk Oncology Institute.

The Institute is a directly managed organization of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, fulfills the role of the main coordinator of oncological care for adults with solid tumors for the South Moravian Region and, in cooperation with the Faculty Hospital Brno and the Faculty Hospital at St. Anne, creates a joint Comprehensive Oncology Center, which has the status of the National Oncology Center in the network of Czech comprehensive oncology centers.

MOU are an internationally recognized institution, an accredited member of the Organization of European Oncology Institutes (OECI), a member of the European Reference Networks for Rare Solid Tumors in Adults (EURACAN) and Hereditary Tumor Syndromes (GENTURIS). Their international status guarantees patients the same care as in other major European oncology centers.

Vision:
The vision is for the Masaryk Institute of Cancer (MIC) to be a prosperous and excellent center with international reach, playing a significant role in the field of cancer prevention, diagnostics, treatment, research and education. MIC to be a reliable partner for citizens in health and illness. MIC to be an independent legal entity cooperating with the external environment for the benefit of all participants in the health system.
