Malaysian Society of Toxicology (MySOT)

MySOT is the voice of toxicology on the national stage. It is an organization that seeks to increase the knowledge base of toxicological issues faced by human kind and to extend this knowledge to their nation.

The Malaysian Society of Toxicology (MySOT) is an association registered in July 12th, 2010 (1695-10-WKL) comprising of toxicologists and toxicology-enthusiasts in Malaysia. Its goal is to promote awareness and to share knowledge on toxicology within Malaysia.

In order to achieve this goal, MySOT embarks on various activities with the purpose of establishing and maintaining cooperation between, govermental organizations, professional bodies and individuals. It also promotes scientific research collaboration and information exchange among the abovesaid parties. Apart from that, MySOT also fosters professional education in the field of toxicology and collaborates with international institutions, particularly the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX).

To be the scientific voice of toxicology in Malaysia

Purpose and Functions:
The general purpose of the society shall be to foster scientific cooperation among Malaysian and international toxicologists as well as to promote world-wide acquisition, dissemination and utilization of knowledge in the science of Toxicology

Objectives:
• To provide leadership as a national scientific organization that objectively addresses global issues involving the toxicological sciences
• To broaden the geographical base of toxicology as a discipline and profession to Malaysia
• To pursue capacity building in toxicology in Malaysia by utilizing its global perspective and network to contribute to the enhancement of toxicology education and the career development of young toxicologists
