Lyon Cancer Research Center / Centre de Recherche en Cancerologie de Lyon (CRCL)

The Lyon Cancer Research Center is a cancer research structure accredited by the University of Lyon 1, Inserm, CNRS, the Leon Berard Center and with the Hospices Civils de Lyon as hospital partner. The CRCL opened its doors in January 2011 with the ambition of increasing the international recognition and attractiveness of the site, facilitating the transfer of knowledge to the clinic and industry, and developing teaching and training. Currently under the direction of Patrick Mehlen (director) and Charles Dumontet (deputy director), the CRCL is made up of 24 research teams, housing nearly 500 staff members including 150 researchers and teacher-researchers.
