Lithuanian Society of Infectious Diseases / Lietuvos infektologu draugija (LID)

Lithuanian Society for Infectious Diseases unites infectologists, paediatricians, medical residents, epidemiologists, medical biologists, microbiologists, parasitologists, public health professionals and other specialists, nurses working in the field of infectious diseases from all over Lithuania.

The Society is actively working in the field of diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases for over 50 years, and annually gathers over 100 members.

Lithuanian Society for Infectious Diseases members discuss and prepare proposals for improvement of the conditions for diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, acquire professional knowledge in international events, share experience with colleagues in seminars organized locally and internationally as well as publish their scientific material.

The Society regularly releases articles set "Infectious Diseases" that goes as appendix to the journal "The Internist", annually organizes international scientific conference "Infectology" as well as other events for professionals to improve their knowledge.
