In 1991, Liberty International founder Mario Enzesberger established the first Liberty International office in Prague aimed at providing tourism-related services in former Czechoslovakia. Its success caused Liberty International to expand beyond existing borders and set up subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe and in the Middle East. In response to booming demand for travel in Asia, Liberty International opened a new office in Bonn catering to the Far East market. At the same time it extended operations to Africa. With the economic recovery of Latin America, Liberty International established both incoming and outgoing departments in Brazil and Argentina.
