Lemion was founded in September 2015 by Ludwig Benecke and Marije Wiegerinck, who have both earned their spurs in the field of post-graduate training.
Ludwig Benecke as the founding father of 'Benecke', the first company in the Netherlands specialized in continuing education and Marije Wiegerinck as senior conference manager, specialized in education, particularly for the healthcare sector. Ludwig recently said goodbye to the company, but fortunately Lemion is still benefiting from his extensive knowledge and experience.
From the very beginning, Lemion collaborated intensively with both publisher De Tijdstroom and Boom Psychiatrie & Psychologie. This made it possible, among other things, to offer suitable books for the theme in combination with a meeting. A merger of these companies was therefore a logical step.
In April 2018 De Tijdstroom merged with Koninklijke Boom Uitgevers and Lemion followed in the summer of 2019. This combination offers the healthcare professional even better access to the latest professional knowledge through a combination of books, magazines, meetings and online content.
